Health & Safety Initiative
Christchurch Airport are continually striving to be world-class in their health and safety practices. With that in mind, we were challenged to develop a new visual identity and campaign for the their publicly facing H&S programme. An umbrella brand and set of activity that would engage internal staff members along with all of the external contractors working on the various airport sites.
At the core of health and safety is the individual, where the responsibility for a safe site begins with that person. We focused on this idea to create a suitably simple and bold brand. Applied to vests, helmets and site signage, the workers are now continually reminded of their personal responsibility of ensuring safety on site.
Additionally, at each location, we fitted-out shipping containers with campaign messages and mirrors. So on a daily basis as everybody signs in, we can literally ask them to look into the mirror and answer the question, am I ready to be a safety champion today?
